For instance, you could use stories, games, competitions and give prizes to the winner, and visuals. For instance, when you teach students about the Sahabah explain the lesson in the form of a story, and when you finish the lesson sum up what you discussed and the lessons learned from it. Also, you could ask them questions about the lesson to help them memorize the information more easily.

4. Be a role model.

The most important thing when teaching something to kids is to do as you teach them. If they see you doing what you ask them to do, they will gladly do it. For instance, if you tell your child to pray the five daily prayers in time but you don’t do the same then they won’t listen to you. You should encourage them and call them to pray with you, show them how to perform Wudu, and encourage them, only then you will find them racing to pray when the Adahn calls.

When teaching students about Islamic studies it is important to teach them about the significance of making Duas and its rewards. Teach your students the most important Duas and some Duas from the Quran. help the child memorize the Duas to recite them frequently. For instance, you could read the Duas before sleeping with them to encourage them to read them daily. And remember, when they see you reciting supplications, they will do the same.
